Gulf of Mexico Congressional Caucus
Advisory Committee
The Caucus Advisory Committee is the primary Partnership group for supporting the Gulf of Mexico Congressional Caucus and for funding Partnership activities, initiatives and events on behalf of the Caucus. Chair of the Advisory Committee will hold a seat on the Board of Directors, lead Caucus events, sit on the Transportation Study Research Committee, and assist with fundraising. Advisory Committee members will also chair four (4) initial Caucus-related Task Forces (Port Security, Critical Infrastructure Development, Environmental Stewardship and Public Policy. The work of each Task Force will mirror, inform and advise their counterparts on the Congressional Caucus. Advisory Committee members will not pay any event fees, and will be offered up to five (5) attendees, depending on the event. The Partnership website will provide hyperlinks to each corporate supporter on the Advisory Committee. All members at this level will be listed as "investors" in the Transportation Study.
Chair: The corporate Chair will be the most visible leader of the Partnership with the Congressional Caucus.
Over the next three years, this individual will:
- Lead all Caucus events in the US Congress (including the private sector task forces mirroring the proposed Caucus structure)
- Task Force Co-Chairs (8 total - mirrors Caucus Task Forces)
- Critical Infrastructure Development
- Port and Critical Infrastructure Security
- Environmental Stewardship
- Public Policy
- Serve as co-Chair of the Transportation Study Research Committee
- Sit on the Partnership Board of Directors
- Spearhead fundraising for 10 to 25 Advisory Committee corporate supporters (The Partnership expects to have an eventual Advisory Committee membership of at least 100 stakeholders (including general and associate members).
- The Chair will be fully supported by Partnership staff.
